Special daylilies for special reasons... Each daylily in my Classics grouping has proven itself a valuable garden perennial with respect to overall beauty and performance. Once a seedling has passed all of my own requirements and I judge it worthy of registration, and IF it has not already been selected for another collection, it will be given one of the special names that I have accumulated. What better way to honor a family member or a good friend than by naming a beautiful flower after them. Some of the classic names are to recall special events; some are as momentos with special significance to or for someone. There is a story behind each daylily name in my classics collection which, I believe, makes the daylily itself of even more interest.
